The consistent Japanese star has started 2016 in the same blistering form that saw him break into the ‘Big Four’ for the first time in March 2015. Nishikori captured his 4th straight Memphis title and extended his win streak at the event to 17 matches. The talented and exciting star also reached the quarter-final of the Australian Open and the final of the ATP Masters 1000 in Miami, failing on both occasions to World No. 1 Novak Djokovic.

Since first picking up a racket at the age of five, Nishikori has taken the ATP Tour by storm and was recognised by being named ‘ATP Newcomer of the Year’ in 2008. Nishikori has won a total of 11 singles titles and his best Grand Slam run was in 2014 when he was a finalist at the US Open; making history at the same time by becoming the first male Asian tennis player to reach a Grand Slam final and qualify for the ATP World Tour Finals. He regards hard court and clay as his preferred surfaces, and his forehand as his biggest weapon.
