We are delighted to welcome Jo-Wilfried Tsonga back to Hurlingham for the third time, having made his debut here four years ago. Since his breakthrough at the 2008 Australian Open, where he reached the final as an unseeded player, Tsonga has been a dominant figure on the ATP World tour. He has an incredibly strong record at Grand Slams, reaching a total of six semi-finals and fifteen quarter-finals. He has twice reached the last four at Wimbledon and took eventual champion, Andy Murray, to five sets in a thrilling quarter-final last year. He has won a total of fourteen ATP singles titles and has an impressive record of finishing in the year-end top-10 on six occasions. Tsonga has an all-round game, known for his offensive baseline play but also his ability to serve and volley, an increasingly rare tactic in the modern game. A Grand Slam title still eludes Tsonga but he arrives at the English grass court season in fantastic form and will no doubt be confident of a successful run at Wimbledon this year.
